The Division of Thoracic Surgery of the Brigham and Women's Hospital offers comprehensive medical and nursing care to all patients admitted to the Thoracic Surgery Service.
In addition to receiving the more tangible services of surgical and professional nursing care, you may receive some or all of the many supportive services that contribute to comprehensive care: Pulmonary Medicine, Anesthesia, Chest Physiotherapy, Cardiology, Nutrition Support, Social Work Services, Continuing Care, and Chaplaincy.
The plan for your care begins with your first visit to the Division of Thoracic Surgery and continues throughout your hospital stay, discharge, and beyond, with follow-up visits in the clinic.
We strongly believe that patients--you, your family, and your friends--are an integral part of the Health Care Team. We welcome your participation and support.
